Officer Brian Arterburn
Officer of the Year
JoEtta Richardson
Non-Sworn Employee of the Year
Irene Armstrong
Volunteer of the Year

Officer Brian Arterburn was nominated because of his good will, in purchasing gloves for students out of his own pocket. Arterburn, a 10-year veteran, is diligent in the follow-up of crime, listens to residence complaints or something they are concerned about, and then goes that extra mile to see that they are resolved. He has also been instrumental in many drug arrests and other activities on his patrol beat.

JoEtta Richardson, a 23-year veteran of the department who is an administrative assistant in the property and evidence facility, was named Non-Sworn Employee of the Year.
Richardson is responsible for overseeing the storage of more that 2,000 packages of evidence and 575 impounded cars each month.

Irene Armstrong was named Volunteer of the Year. Among other things, she volunteers at the south substation, serves as a block captain of her neighborhood watch group, participates in neighborhood cleanups and is a member of the department's racial profiling committee.
