To the left is one of four bureau
maps available to you, others are available by clicking above. The city is
broken up into four bureaus, with each bureau having 9 patrol beats, which are
not indicated on these maps. Within the patrol beats are what we refer to as
reporting areas. These reporting areas are smaller in size, anywhere from 1
square block to many blocks. They have permanent boundaries for
statistical purposes, and have been made available to you. Simply locate and
click on the map for the area or neighborhood in which you live. The Index
Crime Statistics will then be displayed for the current year to date, and the
previous two years.
Please keep in mind that newly annexed areas for the City of Wichita may not
reflect data for previous years. Those statistics would have to be obtained
from the Sedgwick County Sheriffs Office.
