The City of Wichita Hosts an Internet Survey to Gather Input
Today, the City of Wichita launched an Internet survey to engage citizens in a discussion on how they feel parkland should be used.
"The City wants to gain a better understanding from the public at large regarding the various issues surrounding park usage and improvements," said Doug Kupper, director, Park and Recreation. "We want to do what’s best for the community and this is an additional way for citizens to provide comments."
Several recent issues have been discussed by the Board of Park Commissioners and the Wichita City Council regarding the use of City parkland. To engage the public, presentations will be made to the City’s six District Advisory Boards in addition to further discussion by the Board of Park Commissioners and the City Council.
The seven-question Internet survey may be found on the City’s Web site, www.wichita.gov, under the "Hot Topics" link. The survey is entitled "How Should Parkland Be Used?"
