The Wichita Ice Center has opened its doors again on the weekends, just in time for peak ice skating and hockey season. Wichita Ice Center touts two skating rinks, one that is the only Olympic-sized rink in the Midwest region. Currently under City management, the Ice Center still will provide fun for all ages. Admission is $6 with an additional $2 for those who need skate rental. Family rate is just $25. The new hours for the weekend are Fridays from 7:00 to 10:30 PM, Saturdays from noon to 3:00 PM and 7:00 to 10:00 PM and Sunday 1:00 to 4:00 PM. Group pricing is available by calling 337-9199. Wichita Ice Center still remains as the coolest hot spot in town!

First Saturday are Super at WIC!

The Wichita Ice Center is offering free ice skating lessons the first Saturday of each month. At the start of the 12:00 to 3:00 PM public skate session, figures skating professionals at Wichita Ice Center will be giving free lessons. October 1st is the first such opportunity to learn how to skate, then practice during the afternoon session. Admission to the session is just $6 with $2 skate rental. No registration is necessary.
