Wichita Mid-Continent Airport set a new monthly traffic record of 156,560 total passengers in July, surpassing the previous record of 151,236 set in June 2007. The record also marks an increase of 12.99%, or 18,002, more passengers than in July 2006. This is the tenth consecutive month that passenger traffic has increased at Mid-Continent. For the year, passenger traffic is up 7.33%.

“Increased passenger traffic is good news for the airport as the increased business leads to increased revenue from concessions and passenger facility charges which are needed for further improvements at the airport, ” Victor White, Director of Airports, said. “It also catches the attention of the airlines who may consider starting or expanding service here.”
