Creatures return to inhabit Haunted Island tonight at Watson Park, 3022 S. McLean Boulevard. Courageous visitors are invited to take a half-mile stroll on a ghostly walking trail through Haunted Island. Each bend in the walk has something scary to delight and fright its visitors.
Haunted Island will be open from 7:30 p.m. to midnight every Friday and Saturday in October. It will also be open from 7:30 to midnight on Sunday, Oct. 21. It will be open every day Oct. 25 through Oct. 31 but will close at 11 p.m. on Halloween.
Tickets can be purchased each evening at Watson Park. Admission is $8 for children 10 and under; $13 for children 11 and older. The rate goes up to $14 for ages 11 and older beginning October 21. For a $1 discount, bring a can of food; there’s a two-can limit per person. It cannot be combined with other discounts.
