Members of the media are invited to interview the Wichita City Manager finalists Wednesday, Nov. 5 and Thursday Nov. 6 in the City7 studio at City Hall, 455 N. Main. Three candidates will meet with the media Wednesday and two candidates will be available for interviews on Thursday. Reporters and photographers are encouraged to arrive early since the finalists have will have tight schedules. The media interview schedule is listed below.

Wednesday:
1:15 - Norton Bonaparte, Jr. – Topeka, KS City Manager
2:15 – George Noe – former Corpus Christi, TX City Manager
3:15 – Robert Layton – Urbandale, IA City Manager

Thursday:
3:15 - Floyd Johnson – Riviera Beach (FL) Community Redevelopment Agency Exec. Director
3:30 - William Buchanan – Sedgwick County Manager

The finalists will also be interviewed by City department directors and Citizens Search Committee members on Wednesday and Thursday. The Wichita City Council will interview the candidates Thursday and Friday.

Members of the media and the public are also invited to attend two televised public meetings featuring the candidates at 6 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 5 and Thursday, Nov. 6 in the first floor boardroom of City Hall. The meetings will be televised live on City7 (COX Cable Channel 7). The public is encouraged to arrive early to submit questions in writing which will be answered by the candidates during the televised meetings. Seating is limited. The public forums can also be viewed at www.wichita.gov.
