Event volunteers included members of the the Mayor’s Youth Council and City of Wichita staff.
“It was a team effort,” Foos said. “A special thanks to the Mayor for his dedication to the event and for securing additional entertainment and volunteers. The Police Department was a wonderful presence at the event and a major help in the planning process. The Fire Department greatly assisted with planning, supervision of fireworks and Santa assistance. Public Works provide the expertise/personnel for electrical issues and event coordination. The City Manager’s Office assisted with planning and provided entertainment, funding and sponsors.
