If you are a Kansas resident who operates a motor vehicle or motorcycle on public streets and highways in Kansas, you must have a valid Kansas Driver License. A resident is defined as a citizen who has lived in Kansas for 90 continuous days; or upon becoming employed, whichever occurs first. Driver licenses, instructional permits and Kansas identification cards can be obtained at various locations throughout the state.
If you have recently moved to Kansas, you must apply for a Kansas title and registration for your vehicle within 30 days of establishing residency. Registration and license plates are obtained through the county in which you live. For Wichita residents, this can be done at any Wichita Motor Vehicle office.
Qualified persons can register to vote in Wichita at the Sedgwick County Election Office in the Historic Courthouse, at some area banks, and at many other locations throughout the City.
