The City of Wichita is pleased to provide live and archived streaming media to enhance access to City government information. This site will provide links to a growing number of video collections about City activities.
One collection is the live broadcast and video on demand of City Council meetings. You can choose to watch the City Council meetings through our website live (Usually the first three Tuesdays of each month at 9:00 am) or watch it on demand at your convenience. Video on demand provides the opportunity to select which item from the agenda you would like to view and watch only that part of the council meeting. Quick and to the point to provide you with the information you need, when you need it.
We are providing streaming video as another communication channel to the public. To keep costs low for delivering this service we are offering streaming ONLY in Windows media format. Before you begin, please see the "About Windows Media Player" link to assure that your computer will accommodate streaming video and answer questions you may have. You will need Windows Media Player 9 or above to view the City Council meetings.
