On August 20, 2019, Wichita City Council approved to increase child care licensing fees by 20%. This fee will affect initial and annual licensing inspections, KDHE compliance checks and all substantiated complaints. City Council also approved a curriculum incentive for licensed providers who implement developmental activities into their daily services. The incentive allows a 10% fee increase, in lieu of 20%, to providers who implement a curriculum.
