  • Movie in the Park

    Movie in the Park presented by Saint Mark United Methodist Church will be showing Breakthrough free for the community.

    Breakthrough is a American Christian drama film based on the true story of a St. Louis teenager who slipped through an icy lake in January 2015 and was underwater for 15 minutes before resuscitative efforts began.

    Hollywood A listers Chrissy Metz and Josh Lucas play the roles of the parents.

    The movie will start promptly at 6pm, so arrive early to get a great spot to watch. Don't forget your blanket or lawn chairs. Saint Mark United Methodist Church will be providing hot dogs and popcorn for those in attendance. We hope to see you there!


  • Storytime in the Park

    ​We will have stories to read on the big screen at Naftzger Park along with music, snacks and free books to build your home libraries. There will also be an activity following storytime.

    Storytime in the Park is a partnership between Storytime Village and Wichita Park & Recreation. 

  • Fire Prevention Awareness

    Thursday, October 13, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

    Join the Wichita Fire Department at Naftzger Park and learn the importance of fire prevention during Fire Prevention Week (October 9-15)!

    WFD firefighters will teach you how to prepare an escape plan and when to call 911 in order to keep you and your family safe. Make sure to stop by the smoke detector table and sign up for your free smoke detector installation. Truck 1, Rescue 2, Engine 101, the Mobile Prevention Unit and the Burn Trailer will be onsite for you to get an up-close view and ask questions.

    American Red Cross of Kansas will provide "Homes Made Safer" presentations and informational/activity swag bags while supplies last.

    Wichita Park & Recreation will be onsite showing their support with yard games.
